Help us track AI infrastructure
Midwest AI Watch is built from public sources. There are dozens of facility records with missing dates, unfiled permits, ambiguous ownership, and unclear community impact. That's where you come in.

What contributors do
- Submit specific field updates to facility records (e.g., a planning commission approved a rezoning on a specific date).
- Cite public sources: news articles, government filings, planning documents.
- Vouch for or flag other contributors' submissions to help admins prioritize review.
- Pick the states and topics you care about; we'll surface facilities that need work in those areas.
What makes a good contributor
You don't need credentials, just resourcefulness. If you can search public records, double-check what you find, and link to your sources, you can contribute. Local knowledge of any Midwest state is a plus, not a requirement.
What we expect
This is community work, not a paid role. A few minutes per week, no minimum. You can step away any time. Every submission goes through admin review and at least one peer vouch before it goes live, so accuracy matters more than speed. We'll review your application and email you back within a few days.
A note on credit: approved facts land on the public timeline as part of the aggregate record — individual contributor names aren't shown publicly. Internally, admins review submissions under the display name you set in your account.
